Three names have been shortlisted for the first Ram Mandir CEO post. The Ayodhya temple trust may announce the final name on September 2.
The process to appoint the first Chief Executive Officer of the Ram Mandir has reached its final stage, with a three-member search committee submitting a shortlist of three candidates to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
The final decision will now be taken by the trust. If the board approves one of the shortlisted candidates, the name of the Ram Mandir CEO could be announced during the trust’s meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 2.
Search Committee Submits Three Names
The search committee held its meeting at the Ram Mandir complex before submitting its report. Retired Justice Pramod Kohli, who headed the panel, handed over the report to trust treasurer Govind Dev Giri Maharaj.
The panel was constituted to identify a suitable candidate for the newly proposed administrative position. The committee also included retired Lieutenant General Vishnu Kant Chaturvedi and former Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust president Suresh Haware.
The trust is expected to examine the three names before selecting one person for the Ram Mandir CEO position.

Trust May Announce Decision on September 2
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is expected to meet on September 2, with the meeting likely to begin around 2 pm. Apart from the CEO appointment, the trust may also make announcements regarding other vacant positions.
When Govind Dev Giri Maharaj was asked whether the Ram Mandir CEO would be announced during the meeting, he said the final decision rests with the trust’s board. He expressed hope that the appointment could be announced but clarified that the trustees would take the final call.
Why Is the CEO Post Being Created?
On July 6, the trust decided to appoint a Chief Executive Officer to oversee the day-to-day functioning of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
The proposed position is expected to strengthen the administrative structure and improve coordination in the temple’s routine operations. The move also comes amid the trust’s efforts to strengthen transparency and restore devotees’ confidence following concerns related to temple offerings.
The appointment of a Ram Mandir CEO is therefore being viewed as an important step in creating a more structured management system for the temple complex.
Other Important Posts May Also Be Filled
The September 2 meeting could also bring clarity on the vacant secretary’s position. The trust may make an official announcement regarding the post during the same meeting.
According to the information available, a vacant trustee position created following Anil Mishra’s resignation may also be filled. Another seat became vacant after the recent death of trust member Vimlendra Mohan Pratap Mishra.
Two Key Positions Vacant After Resignations
The trust’s organisational structure has undergone changes following the resignations of former general secretary Champat Rai and Anil Mishra. Their exits have left important responsibilities to be reassigned.
Against this backdrop, the selection of the Ram Mandir CEO assumes significance as the trust seeks to strengthen its administrative setup.
The three-member search panel has completed its task and submitted its recommendations. The next step rests with the trust’s board, which will decide whether to approve one of the shortlisted candidates and formally announce the Ram Mandir CEO.
For now, attention remains focused on the September 2 meeting, when the trust could announce the new CEO along with decisions on other vacant positions.
