There is a lot of debate about the casting of Ramayana and there is a lot of buzz surrounding the film. Rumor has it that KGF star Yash will play the role of Rawan and Sai Pallavi will play the role of Ma Sita. Arun Govil was asked if Ranbir Kapoor could add charm to the character and he replied that it may or may not happen, only time will tell. He praised Ranbir Kapoor’s acting skills and said that he is very educated. He carries morals and values within him and tries his best to play the role fairly. In the words of Arun Govil: “He’s an award-winning actor. Jitna jaanta hoon main unko, bohot sanskaari bacche hain voh. Unke andar morals, sanskar, sanskriti hai. Maine dekha hai kayi baar unko.”
Nitesh Tiwari plans to cast Sunny Deol as Hanuman, while his brother Bobby Deol will play Kumbhakarna. The role of Vibhishan will be played by Vijay Sethupathi. Harman Baweja’s name is also suggested for the role of Vibhishana. Lara Dutta’s name is making headlines for the role of Kaikeyi. The makers have not yet announced the full cast of the film. These are just rumors and nothing to confirm.
Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is his ambitious project. It will be a trilogy and will have a budget of over Rs 600 crore. Details like shooting schedule and release date are yet to be announced.
