AAP MP Sanjay Singh attacks Centre over rising gas cylinder prices, alleging post-election inflation is burdening common households across India.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has launched a sharp attack on the Central Government over the rising gas cylinder prices, accusing it of increasing inflation immediately after elections and burdening the common public.
Singh alleged that the recent hike in domestic and commercial LPG cylinder prices reflects a pattern where promises made during elections are forgotten once results are declared. He claimed that the rising gas cylinder prices are directly impacting middle-class and low-income households across the country.
Questions Raised After Elections
Sanjay Singh said that after the recently concluded elections, there has been a significant increase in LPG rates. He argued that while the government makes grand promises during election campaigns, the reality after polls shows a continuous rise in rising gas cylinder prices, affecting everyday life.
He further added that this trend raises serious questions about the government’s commitment to controlling inflation and protecting common citizens from economic stress.

Impact on Common People
According to Singh, the rising gas cylinder prices are hitting the poor, middle class, students, small shopkeepers, and street vendors the hardest. He said that even a slight increase in cooking gas prices disturbs household budgets and adds financial pressure on families already struggling with inflation.
Allegation of Political “Showmanship”
The AAP leader also accused the Central Government of engaging in political theatrics to gain public support. He said that pre-election announcements are often misleading, while post-election policies lead to a sharp rise in rising gas cylinder prices, leaving citizens disappointed.
Growing Economic Pressure
Singh highlighted that both domestic and commercial LPG users are suffering due to the continuous hike. He warned that if rising gas cylinder prices continue to increase, small businesses and daily wage earners will face even greater economic challenges.
