Samay Raina’s Comeback Tour Starts in Bengaluru on India’s Independence Day
Comedian Samay Raina has announced his return to the spotlight with a new stand-up comedy tour across India, months after the controversy surrounding his YouTube talent show India’s Got Latent. The show had sparked public debate over an allegedly offensive joke made by YouTuber-podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, which led to legal proceedings against Raina.

Titled Samay Raina: Still Alive and Unfiltered, the tour will kick off on August 15 — coinciding with India’s Independence Day — in Bengaluru. The tour is set to run through October 5, with performances planned in major cities across the country.
Samay revealed that tickets for the tour are now available on BookMyShow, the popular entertainment ticketing platform. Following Bengaluru, the tour will visit Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, and Pune before concluding with a final show in New Delhi.
This marks Samay Raina’s first live tour since the controversy and legal challenges that put his public career on hold. With Still Alive and Unfiltered, the comedian aims to reconnect with his audience and reaffirm his presence in India’s stand-up comedy scene.
