Sandeep Saini : Awareness Camps Held Across Districts to Promote Self-Employment Among Youth from Backward and Minority Communities

Sandeep Saini : The Punjab Backward Classes Land Development and Finance Corporation (BACKFINCO) is conducting awareness camps across various districts to ensure that individuals from backward classes, economically weaker sections, and minority communities can fully benefit from the welfare schemes designed for them.

Sandeep Saini, Chairman of BACKFINCO, emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann and the guidance of Social Justice, Empowerment, and Minorities Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur, every effort is being made to support the welfare and upliftment of backward classes and minority communities in Punjab.

Chairman Sandeep Saini elaborated that BACKFINCO is offering low-interest loans under self-employment schemes to enhance the economic status of backward classes, economically weaker sections, and minority communities. Financial assistance is provided through initiatives like the Direct Loan Scheme, NBC Scheme, and NMD Scheme, implemented with the support of national corporations such as NBCFDC and NMDFC. Approved loans are directly credited to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.

He also informed that awareness camps have already been conducted in districts such as Sri Muktsar Sahib, Hoshiarpur, Ropar, Amritsar, and SAS Nagar. Upcoming camps are scheduled for Ludhiana on January 24, Patiala on January 29, Ferozepur on January 30, Sangrur on January 31, and Bathinda on February 7.

Chairman Saini encouraged individuals from backward classes and minority communities to attend these camps and take full advantage of the welfare schemes offered by the Punjab government.
