Sanjay Singh News
Sanjay Singh, a Rajya Sabha MP for the AAP, claimed on Wednesday that the BJP, which had previously opposed the distribution of spectrum on a first-come, first-served basis before to gaining power, now desired the implementation of the same policy.
The AAP leader made this statement during a news conference: “In 2012, the Supreme Court handed down a landmark decision, declaring that spectrum allocation and licensing ought to be auctioned off instead of being given out on a first-come, first-served basis.”
However, the whole country has now seen how vulnerable PM Modi and his administration are. In 2023, with 150 Members of Parliament not present, they enacted the first-come, first-served policy, which the BJP had opposed. This was approved after 150 MPs were suspended, killing democracy, according to Singh.
According to the Rajya Sabha MP, the BJP has now petitioned the Supreme Court for permission to distribute the 5G spectrum according to administrative principles, or first-come, first-served.
“First, they passed the law, and now they have gone to the Supreme Court,” said Singh.
