Sanjeev Arora unveils the Punjab Industry Policy 2026, simplifying industrial processes, boosting investment, and creating new employment opportunities across Punjab.
In a landmark move aimed at boosting industrial growth in the state, the Mann government has introduced the Punjab Industry Policy 2026, simplifying processes for businesses and enhancing the ease of doing business. Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora officially unveiled the new Operation and Management Policy, emphasizing that this policy is a game-changer for industrialists in Punjab.
Special Purpose Board to Strengthen Industry Participation
Under the Punjab Industry Policy 2026, a Special Purpose Board (SPB) has been constituted to streamline decision-making and include industry leaders directly in governance. The board will consist of seven industry representatives and one to two government officials. This initiative ensures that critical challenges and issues faced by businesses are evaluated collaboratively, giving industry players a significant role in shaping policies.
Transparent Processes and Financial Ease
To ensure transparency, the new policy mandates that payments for electricity bills by industrialists will be processed based on the Special Purpose Board’s approval. This step is expected to remove financial bottlenecks and simplify industrial operations in the state.
