SEC : The general elections for electing members of Panchayat Samitis and Zila Parishads are scheduled to be held by 05.10.2025, as per Notification No. P.A.9/1994/S.209/2025/6205 dated 05.08.2025 issued by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayats. For these elections, the previously published Panchayat voter lists dated 03.03.2025 need to be updated. Accordingly, the State Election Commission, through its letter dated 14.08.2025, has directed all Deputy Commissioners to update the electoral rolls with a qualifying date of 01.09.2025 as follows:
I. Draft publication of existing Electoral Rolls: 19.08.2025
II. Filing of claims and objections: 20.08.2025 to 27.08.2025
III. Disposal of claims and objections: By 01.09.2025
IV. Final publication of electoral rolls: 03.09.2025
Eligible persons can use the following forms: Form-I (for inclusion of names), Form-II (for objections to inclusion), and Form-III (for objections to any particulars in an entry). These forms are available with the concerned SDMs (Electoral Registration Officers) and can also be downloaded from the Commission’s website at https://sec.punjab.gov.in/
