The Electric Skoda is Making Every Other Estate Car Look Ancient
Skoda just dropped a sneak peek into the future with its Vision O concept at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich. If you’ve ever loved the practicality of a Skoda estate — think Octavia or Superb — get ready. Vision O shows how Skoda plans to carry that legacy forward in a fully electric, tech-packed world.

A Fresh Look That Feels Familiar
The Vision O keeps the classic estate shape but adds some futuristic flair. From the Tech-loop face mask and integrated lights to flush, retractable handles and even a body that subtly changes color, it’s a car that looks modern but still feels like a Skoda. The panoramic roof and reworked pillars make the cabin feel airy and spacious — perfect for family trips or city drives.
Interior Designed for Real Life
Vision O focused on the interior first, and it shows. The 1.2-metre-wide Horizon Display, vertical touchscreen, and haptic dial make controls intuitive. And meet Laura, the AI assistant who does more than answer questions — she can help with navigation, productivity, and even entertain passengers. Extras like adaptive lighting, a mini fridge, and a portable speaker make it feel surprisingly luxurious for an estate. The luggage space? A whopping 650 litres, expanding to 1,700 litres with the seats down.
Green and Smart
Sustainability isn’t just a buzzword here. Skoda has used recycled PET, plant-based Ultrasuede, upcycled leather, and even 3D-printed headrests made from recyclable materials. It’s a car that’s trying to be responsible without compromising style or comfort.
