Known for his soulful voice and heartfelt renditions, Papon took to social media to express his admiration for the film’s storytelling and musical depth.
In a heartfelt post on X (formerly Twitter), Papon wrote, “Just watched #MetroInDino. What a movie! Watching it (in) full made me want to congratulate you, @ipritamofficial Da, for what you have achieved! It’s outstanding!”
He continued by addressing Anurag Basu affectionately as “Dada” and commending the emotional weight and staying power of the soundtrack. “The result of all those sleepless nights is truly rewarding! And this album… it’s pure slow poison! It will grow so strong year after year! Huge congratulations again, Dada!” he added.
Papon collaborated with Pritam for the track Zamaana Lage, one of the standout songs in Metro…In Dino. The film features an ensemble cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Neena Gupta, and Anupam Kher, and has been praised for capturing modern urban relationships with emotional nuance—something he clearly connected with.
