British Deputy High Commissioner Chandigarh, Caroline Rowett, met with Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Sandhwan to discuss various important matters. Speaker Kultar Sandhwan highlighted the potential for exporting Punjab’s vegetables and fruits to Europe and the U.K., seeking Caroline Rowett’s cooperation to facilitate this initiative for the benefit of Punjab’s farmers. He emphasized the unmatched taste of Punjab’s agricultural produce, particularly noting that the red chilli from Ferozepur is among the finest in India.
He further stated that efforts are underway to enhance agricultural processing and uplift Punjab’s farming sector.
