The Special Intensive Revision 2026 of electoral rolls has begun across Punjab under the supervision of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Punjab, and the Election Commission of India (ECI). Who Can Register as a New Voter?
Citizens who have completed 18 years of age, or will turn 18 on or before October 1, 2026, can apply for inclusion in the electoral roll.
Under the Special Intensive Revision 2026, first-time voters can submit Form-6 to register their names. The application can be submitted through both online and offline modes, with the deadline set for September 12, 2026.
Claims and Objections Till September 13
The Election Commission has also opened a window for citizens to submit claims and objections related to the draft electoral roll. These can be filed until September 13, 2026.
Voters can use this opportunity to report mistakes in their name, address or other details. They can also raise objections if they find the name of an ineligible or suspected bogus voter in the draft list.
