In a major push to strengthen sports infrastructure and nurture world-class athletes, the Haryana government has announced that a Sports Centre of Excellence will be developed in every district. For this ambitious initiative, 22 PM Shri and Model Sanskriti Schools have been selected, where advanced facilities, professional training, and modern sports infrastructure will be created.
The initiative aims not only to promote sports culture at the school level but also to prepare young athletes for national and international competitions, including the Olympics and Asian Games.
Multipurpose Halls to Be Built in 15 Districts
The government has approved the construction of multipurpose sports halls in 15 districts. These indoor facilities will allow athletes to train throughout the year without being affected by weather conditions.

Special Badminton Centers in 4 Schools
Equipped with world-class courts and professional coaching setups. -
Sirsa Chosen for Dedicated Cricket Training Infrastructure
Sirsa district will see the development of a cricket-focused excellence facility.
Special Facilities Approved for Faridabad, Fatehabad and Jhajjar

Fatehabad’s Bhattu Kalan School to Get a Hockey Excellence Centre
Modern turf and professional training will aid the development of future hockey stars. -
Special Grass Football Ground for Dujana in Jhajjar District
The field will be built as per national-level standards. -
Modern Swimming Pools Approved for Schools in Samaypur (Faridabad) and Sector-20, Panchkula
These facilities will promote excellence in aquatic sports.
