CM Bhajanlal Sharma announced that the state government will organize Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas on December 10 in Jaipur to honor the achievements and significant social contributions of Non-Resident Rajasthanis (NRRs).
Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas : He instructed officials to complete all preparations on time to ensure the success of the event. Chairing a review meeting at the Chief Minister’s Office on Thursday, Mr. Sharma said that the occasion will provide NRRs an opportunity to become partners in the journey of a developed Rajasthan. At the same time, those who have made notable contributions and achievements in social, economic, and industrial sectors will be felicitated.
To make the event successful, the Chief Minister directed the organization of both national and international NRR Connect programs. He asked officials to conduct national-level NRR Connect events in Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Surat during September–November, and international-level programs in Dubai and Abu Dhabi (UAE) in October with full preparations.
Mr. Sharma also issued specific instructions to officials for the arrangements of the inaugural session and directed them to design the agenda for sessions related to tourism, water, education, and health.
It is noteworthy that, as per the Chief Minister’s directions, Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas will be celebrated on December 10, where the Pravasi Rajasthani Samman Awards will also be presented. Applications for this award are being accepted through the Rajasthan Foundation portal from August 13 to September 12.
The meeting was attended by Industry and Commerce Minister Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore and senior officials from the concerned departments.
