Ahan Shetty’s Career Hit Roadblocks After Border 2 Offer, Says Suniel Shetty
Suniel Shetty has openly addressed the behind-the-scenes challenges his son, Ahan Shetty, has faced in the film industry — particularly after being cast in the upcoming war drama Border 2. For Suniel, Border (1997) remains one of the most defining films of his career. Now, with Ahan stepping into the same cinematic universe, expectations are high — but the journey hasn’t been smooth.

In a recent interaction, Suniel revealed that after Ahan signed on for Border 2, he was quietly dropped from several other projects. Without naming names, the actor hinted that some of these decisions may have been influenced by personal grudges or unresolved industry tensions.
“Maybe mujhse galti hui hogi, mujhse naaraaz honge… and they want to take it out on somebody else,” Suniel said, reflecting on how his own past may be affecting his son’s professional path.
Despite the setbacks, Suniel remains philosophical. “You can’t change destiny,” he added, noting that he believes everything happens for a reason. He also emphasized the importance of genuine relationships in the film world, sharing that Ahan has formed close bonds with stars like Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh. “They love him like a younger brother,” Suniel said with gratitude.
