Before His Tragic Death, Sunjay Kapur Spoke About His 10-Year Vision for His Family
Priya Sachdev, the wife of late businessman Sunjay Kapur, recently opened up about her bond with his children from his previous marriage with Bollywood actor Karisma Kapoor. Sunjay Kapur, who tragically passed away in a freak accident just days ago, had spoken just months earlier about building a blended family based on trust, respect, and unity.

In one of his final interviews, recorded for the Indian Silicon Valley podcast, Sunjay had spoken at length about the importance of family values and how he and Priya were committed to raising their children with deep-rooted principles. “For me, trust and respect is extremely important,” he said. “We want our family to stay together and build something meaningful that lasts even after we’re gone.”
Sunjay, who shared two children—Samaira and Kiaan—with Karisma Kapoor, had been vocal about making co-parenting work in a blended family setup. “It’s not always easy,” he admitted, “but we’ve been very fortunate to have a system where we all work together, where we love each other.”
In a previous interview, Priya Sachdev acknowledged the complexities of the family dynamic, admitting that Sunjay Kapur and Karisma’s marriage “was not conventional.” However, she shared that she has built a respectful and supportive relationship with Samaira and Kiaan. “I can’t be their mom, but I can be a positive influence,” she had said.
Sunjay Kapur had also revealed that he and Priya were actively attending coaching sessions on parenting and the Bhagavad Gita, with the hope of passing on strong moral values to all four of their children.
