The Chhattisgarh government has released the 12th installment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, transferring ₹650.32 crore directly into the bank accounts of 69,53,994 women beneficiaries across the state. This program is aimed at providing financial support to women, promoting their economic security and empowerment.

The Women and Child Development Department reported that the financial aid has been distributed across various districts. Raipur district received the highest share, with 51.19 crore benefiting 5,31,558 women. Bilaspur district followed with 39.54 crore, reaching 4,22,741 women, while Durg district saw 38.33 crore reaching 4,02,211 beneficiaries.

In Balodabazar district, ₹30.97 crore was allocated to 3,27,476 women, and ₹30.11 crore was transferred to 3,22,519 women in Mahasamund district. Beneficiaries in Korba district received ₹27.34 crore, benefitting 2,93,353 women, while ₹26.91 crore was transferred to 2,88,420 women in Janjgir-Champa district. Rajnandgaon district saw ₹24.22 crore reaching 2,56,724 beneficiaries, and ₹23.53 crore was allocated to 2,53,149 women in Kabirdham district. Balod district received ₹23.10 crore, benefitting 2,50,768 women.

In more remote and tribal areas, funds were also provided to thousands of women. Bastar district received ₹18 crore, Dantewada district saw ₹5.16 crore transferred to 54,579 women, and Bijapur district was allocated 3.67 crore. Narayanpur district received ₹2.54 crore, and Sukma district beneficiaries got 4.91 crore.

With this latest installment, the Mahtari Vandan Yojana continues to play a vital role in empowering women and enhancing their social security in Chhattisgarh.
