Marvel Teases The Fantastic Four: First Steps With Classic Poster Set
New Delhi | May 6, 2025
Hot on the heels of Thunderbolts hitting theatres, Marvel Studios has dropped a fresh wave of character posters for its next big title — The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which is set to premiere on July 25. These retro-styled posters are a nod to the comic book era, resembling vintage trading cards complete with bold colors and nostalgic flair — right down to the imaginary stick of gum.
The upcoming film marks a pivotal moment for the Fantastic Four, finally bringing the iconic superhero team into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after years of reboots and false starts. While past attempts — from Roger Corman’s unreleased 1994 version to Fox’s mid-2000s adaptations and the critically panned 2015 reboot — failed to strike the right chord, First Steps signals a fresh beginning under the Marvel Studios banner.
Directed with a “retro-futuristic” lens, the film stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing). Julia Garner joins as Shalla-Bal’s Silver Surfer, while Ralph Ineson takes on the menacing role of Galactus, the planet-devouring cosmic entity. The ensemble cast also includes Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne in undisclosed roles, adding even more intrigue to the project.
Fans are hopeful that this MCU debut finally does justice to Marvel’s First Family, grounding their sci-fi legacy with an imaginative, era-blending aesthetic and a powerful cast. With Thunderbolts currently in theatres and The Fantastic Four: First Steps less than three months away, Marvel’s Phase 5 is shaping up to be one of its most ambitious yet.
Stay tuned for more updates — and don’t forget to check out the newly released posters to get a taste of what’s coming.
