Hyundai Creta SUV: Hyundai India recently launched the performance-oriented Creta N Line priced at Rs 16.82 lakh (ex-showroom). This car features a unique design, an all-black interior, a 6-speed manual transmission and a range of exclusive N-Line accessories and features.

In February, the South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai announced 51,000 reservations for the Creta makeover. The announcement came a month after the order books were opened. In a recent release, the brand announced that this markup has grown significantly as the popular SUV has already registered more than 80,000 bookings.

The Creta currently starts at Rs 11 lakh and goes up to Rs 20 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom. In terms of market competitors, it competes with the likes of Volkswagen Tiguan, MG Aster, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and the Skoda Kushaq.

The 2024 Creta’s design has been inspired by Hyundai’s extensive SUV lineup worldwide. The updated car has vertically positioned headlights and daytime running lights spread across the front of the grille. However, thanks to the redesigned bumper and faux skid plates., this model still looks menacing.

The tail lamps continue the design at the rear with a strip running across the entire width of the boot. Another change to the rear bumper is the installation of a larger skid plate. Car dimensions: height 1635 mm, width 1790 mm and total length 4330 mm. Its ground clearance is 190 mm, and its wheelbase is 2610 mm.

Hyundai Creta SUV: Engine Specs

Coming to the mechanical details, the facelifted Hyundai Creta comes with three engine options: 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (NA), 1.5-litre diesel and a new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The first two units develop 250 Nm/114 bhp and 144 Nm/113 bhp. accordingly, it has been modified to meet the more stringent BS6 Stage II emission standards.

In contrast, the new Turbo GDi petrol engine has a maximum output of 158 bhp and its maximum power and 253 Nm. There are four transmissions to choose from while driving: six-speed manual, IVT, standard seven-speed DCT and six-speed automatic.

In terms of features, the revised SUV gets a completely redesigned cockpit with a twin-touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument console. Air vents and improved panels give the car a more premium look. Power seats, leather shifter, flat-bottom steering wheel, ambient lighting, 360-degree camera, surround view and blind spot monitor, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless cell phone charging, ventilated seats, premium audio. With eight Bose speaker systems, a panoramic sunroof and more than 70 connected car features are just some of the standard comfort features of this model.

Hyundai Creta SUV: The Improved Safety Suite

The new Creta comes with enhanced safety features such as tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), four-wheel disc brakes, electric parking brake with automatic locking function, front parking sensors and hill start assist. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as emergency brake lights, six airbags and adaptive cruise control, lane departure assist.

Hyundai Creta SUV: Variants and Colour Options

Available in seven different variants – E, EX, S, S (O), SX, SX Tech and SX (O) – the Creta facelift is available in six single-tone and one two-tone color options. These include the rugged new Emerald Pearl, Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White, Titan Gray and Atlas White models with a black roof.
