75th Republic Day

On Friday, the 75th Republic Day Parade rehearsals got underway in Delhi, close to India Gate and Kartavya Path. The national capital’s skyline was shrouded in a thick layer of fog on a frigid winter’s morning, as security forces practiced. As the security guards prepared for the big day, not even the bone-chilling cold could break their spirits. Meanwhile, to bolster anti-terrorism measures and raise public awareness in the lead-up to the Republic Day celebrations, Delhi Police and security agencies will conduct simulated drills at significant installations and in commercial areas, according to news agency ANI.

Security personnel were seen riding on horses and holding flags in their hands in the one-minute video that ANI posted.

To assess the level of security readiness, the Delhi Police’s Eastern District division conducted a simulated drill at the V3S Mall in Nirman Vihar earlier on Thursday. Teams from the Delhi Police, Bomb Squad, Dog Squad, Cats Ambulance, Delhi Fire Service, Delhi Traffic Police, and SWAT Cammondos were also there, according to ANI.

PM MODI: VEER BAL DIWAS IS A SYMBOL OF PROTECTING “BHARATIYATA” TO ANY LENGTH

On January 26, 2024, India will commemorate its 75th Republic Day. R-Day is observed to commemorate the momentous occasion when the country fully shifted into an autonomous republic following the ratification of the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar-drafted Indian Constitution.

The main guest for the R-Day celebrations in India would be none other than French President Emmanuel Macron. On that day, he will be seen at Rashtrapati Bhavan with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where he will observe the demonstration of the strength of the Indian security forces.

“Thank you for your invitation, my dear friend Narendra Modi,” Macron remarked as he accepted the Chief Guest position. I will be in India to celebrate Republic Day with you!
