Union Minister Raksha : More than 1500 MY Bharat Youth Volunteers will participate in a Padayatra to honor the legacy of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

Union Minister Raksha  : To mark Parakram Diwas, which honors the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports, Union Minister Raksha Nikhil Khadse, will lead the ‘Jai Hind Padyatra’ on January 23, 2025, in Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This event, a tribute to Netaji’s unwavering spirit, will bring together 1500 MY Bharat Youth Volunteers and youth leaders to celebrate India’s freedom struggle and the lasting legacy of Subhash Chandra Bose.

The Padyatra will cover a scenic route of about 5 kilometers, starting from Flag Point and concluding at Netaji Stadium, symbolizing the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters. It will include various activities to honor Netaji’s contributions and raise awareness of his vision for a free and progressive India.

Event Highlights

The ‘JAI HIND’ Padyatra in Port Blair is the fifth in a series of 24 events planned to celebrate 75 years of the Constitution and showcase India’s vibrant cultural diversity. As part of this year-long commemoration, two padyatras will be organized each month by MY Bharat volunteers across the country, promoting patriotism and strengthening the connection to India’s rich heritage.

The Ministry encourages youth across India to participate by registering on the MY Bharat Portal (www.mybharat.gov.in) and joining this pride-filled march to honor Netaji’s legacy and his vision for a united and self-reliant India.
