Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs : More than 80 teachers of Jhabua district are translating Mann Ki Baat and major speeches into Bhili dialect.

‘AI based translation tool’ is being prepared by the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs. Its objective is to promote multilingual education (MLE) in line with the New Education Policy 2020 by preparing bi-lingual dictionaries and tri-lingual proficiency modules in tribal dialects.To prepare a primer in tribal languages and dialects for the students of classes 1, 2 and 3. The main goal of this innovation is to collect and document the folk tales of various tribes for the preservation and promotion of tribal folk traditions.
In this direction, very commendable work is being done in Jhabua district of the state. Here, more than 80 teachers of the district are continuously working on translation of various major activities and conversations into Bhili dialect. इIn this work, till now 62 episodes of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat program have been translated into Bhili dialect by these teachers. He has translated the last 12 years of President’s speeches and the last 10 years of Prime Minister’s speeches. Apart from this, Hindi subject text books from class 1 to 5,More than 60 thousand sentences received from environmental subject books from class 3 to 5 and from IIT, New Delhi have been translated into Bhili dialect. This work is continuing continuously.
Translators honored on National Tribal Pride Day
गOn the auspicious occasion of National Tribal Pride Day (Lord Birsa Munda Jayanti) on 15th November, all the teachers involved in translation into Bhili dialect were honored in the district level main function organized at Jhabua district headquartersWomen and Child Development Minister Ms. Nirmala Bhuria and Collector Jhabua Ms. Neha Meena paid heartfelt respect to the translators in Bhili dialect and praised their work openly. Minister Ms. Bhuria said that with the help of these translators, our major documents and speeches have now become available in Bhili dialect forever. Our children and teachers will be able to understand the subject in a better way and move forward by using the literature available in this local dialect in their teaching-learning work.
