CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurated 100 public shelters with a capacity of 250 beds and a computerized lost-found center in Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela area.

CM Yogi Adityanath ji said that with the aim of making Prayagraj Mahakumbh-2025 divine and grand, the state government is making every possible effort by giving priority to the facilities of the pilgrims. The state government is taking full care of the stay and safety of the devotees during the harsh winter weather.The Chief Minister today inaugurated 100 public shelters with a capacity of 250 beds in the Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela area. He also inaugurated the computerized Lost and Found Center in the Maha Kumbh Mela area.
CM Yogi said that in view of the huge number of pilgrims and visitors during a grand event like Maha Kumbh, the need for public shelters becomes important. Traditionally, pilgrims and saints spend time in open spaces or circulation areas, which creates many problems for them in cold weather. Keeping this in mind,The government has arranged for public shelters with a total capacity of 25,000 beds. The objective of these shelters is to not only provide comfortable and safe stay to the pilgrims but also to make their journey accessible and convenient.The public shelters prepared for the Maha Kumbh have been equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Each shelter will have a capacity of 250 beds. Mattresses, pillows and clean sheets will be provided along with the beds. Separate toilets and bathrooms have been arranged for men and women.Regular cleaning, including change of sheets, has been ensured in these shelters. Apart from this, arrangements have been made for clean drinking water and 24-hour security. Devotees will be able to use these facilities at a nominal feeDue to which people of all sections will get the option to stay in Mahakumbh. The fee system for using public shelters has been kept simple and accessible. On normal days, devotees will have to pay Rs 100 for the first day and Rs 100 for the first day and Rs 200 for the second day if they stay for two days.During the main Snan Parv and its surrounding days, the fee will be Rs 200 for the first day and for a two-day stay, it will be Rs 200 on the first day and Rs 400 on the second day. Devotees can make payment through cash or digital mode (UPI), after which they will be issued tickets.
CM Yogi Adityanath ji said that the arrangement of public shelters is especially for those pilgrims who cannot afford hotels, guest houses or private camps.These public shelters will not only make their travel affordable, but will also enable them to experience comfort and safety in the cold weather. This initiative will provide a relaxing and memorable experience to the pilgrims coming during the harsh winter season.
CM Yogi inaugurated the computerized Khoya-Paya Center in Prayagraj Mela area as part of the preparations for Mahakumbh 2025. This center will be equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, so that problems related to missing devotees can be resolved immediately.This initiative will provide a safe and organized experience to the pilgrims. The Chief Minister said that the government is fully committed to making Maha Kumbh 2025 not only a religious event but also a living symbol of Indian culture and spirituality.This event will present the cultural and spiritual heritage of not only Uttar Pradesh but the entire India at the world level. On this occasion, Jal Shakti Minister Shri Swatantra Dev Singh, Industrial Development Minister Shri Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ along with other public representatives and senior officials of the government and administration were present.
