Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh ji and UP CM Yogi Adityanath today participated in the ‘Atal Geet Ganga’ programme organised here on the eve of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna respected Atal Bihari Vajpayee jiOn this occasion, poet Dr. Kumar Vishwas recited a solo poem. It was heard by everyone including the Union Defense Minister and the Chief Minister. The Union Defense Minister and the Chief Minister inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.He garlanded the statue of revered Atal ji. He honoured the associates and senior workers of revered Atal ji. A souvenir ‘Atal Sau Saal’ was also released on this occasion.
While addressing the ‘Atal Geet Ganga’ programme, the Union Defence Minister said that everyone is familiar with the personality of respected Atal Ji and his fame in the international world. Shri Atal Ji has made India proud in the international world. She has worked with revered Atal Ji in the cabinet. She has also held the responsibility of the post of National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party while Atal Ji was alive. Atal Ji often used to talk about the development of Lucknow. It is her good fortune that she is an MP from Lucknow parliamentary constituency. Lucknow parliamentary constituency was represented for a long time by respected Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji. Respected Atal ji became the Prime Minister of India while being the MP of this parliamentary constituency. Shri Atal ji was well aware of how he wanted to make Lucknow.
While addressing the program, CM Yogi Adityanath said that revered Atal ji is known as a model of good governance in the country. Revered Atal ji is considered a symbol of what an inclusive and all-encompassing politics should be like. His political life of 6 decades is considered a symbol of purity, transparency and honesty. Atal ji always used to say that politics without principles is a noose of death. He followed a political ideology with values and principles for 06 decades. He worked for the country and society with values and principles without worrying about the ruling party or the opposition. Revered Atal ji stayed away from the politics of buying and selling so that decorum is followed in the country and values are protected. He set standards and ideals for future generations without caring about power. Even today these standards and ideals are guiding for Indian politics.

CM Yogi Adityanath ji said that tomorrow will be the 100th anniversary of the birth anniversary of revered Atal ji. Paying humble tribute to the memories of revered Atal ji, the Chief Minister said that since this morning he has been associated with various programs based on the memories of Atal ji.He got the opportunity to join a program with 25 to 30 thousand young friends at KD Singh Babu Stadium. After this, he joined the Atal Health Fair organized under the leadership of youth leader Mr. Neeraj Singh. Through the Atal Health Fair, free health consultation, medicines, treatment and equipment to the disabled have been distributed to more than 50 thousand people. This fair will be organized till tomorrow.
The Chief Minister said that on the occasion of the birth anniversary of revered Atal Ji, essay writing and speech competitions on good governance are being organized in all the districts of the state. A platform has been set up in every district for budding poets,Where one can recite poems based on Atalji’s memories. Seminars are being held on good governance. Tomorrow awardees will be felicitated across the state. The Chief Minister said that it is our good fortune that we are getting the opportunity to be associated with the Atal Janm Shatabdi Mahotsav.He thanked Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh for his continuous positive support in effectively implementing the works of revered Atal ji and the values established by him in Lucknow and the entire state.CM Yogi Adityanath felicitated the Chairman of the Foundation and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Brajesh Pathak and his team for the programmes being organised by the revered Pt.
