CM Yogi Adityanath: The responsibility of traffic management at important places should be handed over to Superintendent of Police level officers.
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath reviewed the preparations for the upcoming Basant Panchami Amrit Snan at the ICCC auditorium of Prayagraj Mela Authority. He directed to take action against the officers responsible for the incident that took place on the day of Mauni Amavasya and said that the officers who failed in crowd management should be removed and new and senior officers should be posted in their place. Parking space should be increased and such arrangements should be made so that devotees have to walk at least for Sangam Snan. He directed all the officers to work proactively to make the Amrit Snan of Basant Panchami on coming 3rd February a Zero Incident.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that the arrangements for Mahakumbh are being appreciated and the general public is also praising the fair administration. He talked about the deployment of skilled officers and said that officers should have passion in their work, and for this, police personnel have been given a month’s training. He directed to give the responsibility of traffic management at important places to the officers of the level of Superintendent of Police.
CM Yogi Adityanath talked about the change in the posting of Sector Magistrate and said that senior officers should be deployed. He expected the authorities to behave well towards the people, and strict action to be taken against those who behave indecently. The police have been asked to maintain cordial relations with the public.
After this, CM Yogi Adityanath gave instructions to the concerned officers of various departments, including traffic arrangements, parking, road jam situation, and other measures to be taken to improve the arrangements. He said that all the arrangements should be implemented successfully during the Amrit Snan of Basant Panchami.
CM Yogi Adityanath gave instructions to improve the crowd management situation in Jhunsi area and said that the devotees coming and going should not collide with each other. He appreciated the arrangements of the Railways and said that if there is any problem then the Chief Minister’s Office should be informed.
In the end, CM Yogi Adityanath gave instructions to conduct police verification of suspected people of Jhunsi area, stop encroachment, and pay special attention to cleanliness. He said that the roads in the mela area should not be dusty and water should be sprinkled regularly. He also spoke about the deployment of experienced officers for crowd control.
