UP CM Yogi Adityanath reviewed the paddy procurement in the state at a high-level meeting convened at his official residence here today. He directed to conduct the paddy procurement process under the Price Support Scheme with full readiness and transparency. The Chief Minister said that the welfare of the farmers was the top priority of the State Government. Negligence in paddy procurement at any level will not be tolerated. All the procurement centers of the state should remain active in view of the convenience of the farmers. In every case, it should be ensured that payment is made to the farmer within 48 hours of purchase.
The Chief Minister said that the basic facilities and requirements of the farmers like seating, shade and drinking water should be taken care of at the procurement centres. There is no shortage anywhere. be purchased through the token system. Adequate arrangements should be made to protect paddy from rain and other natural calamities at the procurement centres. Every activity should be monitored through CCTV cameras at the purchase centres. Ensure timely and continuous availability of staff. All these activities should also be constantly monitored from the headquarters.
The Chief Minister said that the efforts made in the direction of providing ration to every eligible family in the state with ease and complete transparency have yielded good results. The state government has taken forward the process of making Fair Price Shops as Model Fair Price Shops. On this occasion, Principal Secretary Raji P. Shrivastava, Director Bhupinder Singh, Executive Director PSCFC Devinder Singh, Chairman Backfinco Harjinder Singh Thekedar, Joint secretary-cum-director SC sub plan Raj Bahadur Singh, Under Secretary Manohar Lal Bangarh, Deputy Director Rupinderpal Singh, Joint Director Sushil Kumar, DCFA Avtar Singh, Deputy Director Sarbjinder Singh Randhawa, Deputy Director Parminder Singh Gill among several other officials and dignitaries were also present.
