Rs 123 crore 16 lakh were provided - Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, the government provided Rs 320 crore to hospitals for treatment in Gorakhpur.In the 70 years from 1947 to 2017, there were only 12 medical colleges in the entire state, this year alone the state government started 16 medical colleges.
- The state government is providing benefits of ICU, dialysis unit, MRI, blood bank, blood component unit and other health related facilities in every district.
- By running a campaign, Ayushman cards should be made for the elderly and they should also be provided with the list of hospitals where this facility is available.
UP CM Yogi Adityanath ji today distributed Ayushman Vaya Vandana cards under the Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat-Jan Arogya Yojana to the elderly above 70 years of age at Mahant Digvijay Nath Park, Ramgarhtal in Gorakhpur district.He talked to 06 beneficiaries of various schemes, which included Ms. Isawati Devi, Ms. Sharda Devi, beneficiary of Ayushman Card, Ms. Sandhya Rai, beneficiary of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Cashless Scheme, Mr. Ashutosh Sharma and Mr. Sudhir Kumar Singh and Ms. Bhuri Devi, who received assistance from the Chief Minister’s Discretionary Fund, are included. On this occasion, he inaugurated the Ayushman Camp organized by the Health Department. On this occasion, the Chief Minister visited the exhibition, distributed food to children and baby shower for women.
Addressing the program organized on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has made provision for the elderly who become helpless after a certain age and are unable to afford expensive treatmentKeeping all of them in mind, Ayushman Vaya Vandana Yojana has been started for every person above 70 years of age. This scheme is for all people belonging to any caste, region and religion.Today, under this scheme, lakhs of people in Uttar Pradesh alone have taken benefits and taken it to new heights of success. In Gorakhpur district, more than 8,300 elderly people above 70 years of age have been linked to the scheme, who will get free treatment facility worth Rs 5 lakh.
CM Yogi ji said that the Prime Minister had implemented the Ayushman Bharat scheme in September 2018. It is the world’s largest health insurance scheme. Under this, every year family members can get free health facility worth Rs 5 lakh in any affiliated hospital of the district, state or country. 280 hospitals in Gorakhpur district are covered under this scheme, of which 191 are government and the remaining are private sector hospitals. The beneficiary can avail the treatment facilities in these. This program is being organized in Gorakhpur district to create public awareness that this scheme should be beneficial for the elderly. Today we all are moving forward based on the hard work and devotion of these elders. We are happy only because of the sacrifice of these elders. It is our moral responsibility to take care of them. That is why the state government has taken up the task of connecting the elderly with this scheme.

CM Yogi Adityanath said that Ayushman Bharat scheme is a very good scheme. Under this, the government has so far provided Rs 320 crore to hospitals for treatment in Gorakhpur district. The state government is making continuous efforts to benefit the people. Earlier, thousands of children used to die due to encephalitis in Gorakhpur. Today, due to the positive efforts of the double engine government, this disease has been completely eradicated. Before 2017, there was a BRD Medical College in Gorakhpur, which lacked facilities. Today this medical college is providing treatment with world class facilities. Today there is also AIIMS in Gorakhpur.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that in the 70 years from 1947 to 2017, there were only 12 medical colleges in the entire state, but today, out of all 75 districts, medical colleges have been constructed in 65 districts under the ‘One District One Medical College’ scheme. Is being done. This year the state government has started 16 medical colleges. This shows that excellent work towards health has been possible only because of the positivity of the double engine government.Earlier there was not a single medical college in Deoria, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Basti, Balrampur, Gonda and Bahraich districts. Today medical colleges are being run in all these districts.

The way the state government showed teamwork in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic was a commendable task. Along with health, the needs of every person are fulfilled and they get full benefit of health facilities, Ayushman Bharat Yojana,Treatment facilities are being provided to the people through Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Employees Cashless Scheme, Ayushman Vaya Vandana Yojana and Chief Minister Relief Fund.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that the aim of the state government is that the citizens should be healthy for a strong India. India will be strong only when there are healthy citizens. Ayushman Vaya Vandana Yojana will have to be taken forward with public awareness. Appealing to all the public representatives, the Chief Minister said that every beneficiary should get the benefit of this scheme, for this a campaign should be run to get Ayushman cards made for the elderly.Also provide them the list of hospitals where this facility is available.
