UP CM Yogi: State government intends to make this area a new model of development

UP CM Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to develop the Veterinary Science College under construction in Tal Nadaur, Gorakhpur and the proposed International Cricket Stadium and Kanha Gaushala here as a pilot project. He said that the state government intends to make this area a new model of development.
UP CM Yogi gave these instructions today on the occasion of inspection of the first Veterinary Science College of Eastern Uttar Pradesh being built in Tal Nadaur of Gorakhpur district. He designed the College of Veterinary Sciences, By observing the layout and model, detailed information was obtained about its major dimensions. The Chief Minister said that the proposed international cricket stadium will be built on 80 to 100 acres in Tal Nadaur.And by simultaneously developing the Kanha Gaushala to be built by the Municipal Corporation on 52 acres, we will be able to create an excellent model of development in an area of about 250 acres. Therefore, work should be done to bring all the works under construction here under one umbrella.
While inspecting the layout of the College of Veterinary Sciences, UP CM Yogi ji took information about the preparations being made for keeping animals (cow, buffalo, goat, horse etc.) and their feed. He said that arrangements should be made to reserve adequate land for grazing animals and to create a cow pond. For this, necessary changes should be made in the structure. He also inspected the large cowshed being built on 4 acres near the College of Veterinary Sciences.And instructions were given to plant trees here and make all necessary arrangements for keeping animals in summer.
Officials of the Public Works Department informed UP CM Yogi ji that the preliminary survey work for the International Cricket Stadium has been done.Kanha Gaushala, to be built on 52 acres, will be constructed by C&DS. The construction of the first phase of the College of Veterinary Sciences will be completed in March 2026.
It is noteworthy that the foundation stone of Veterinary Science College in Tal Nadaur, Gorakhpur was laid by UP CM Yogi ji on March 03 this year. The construction of this college, which is being built in 3 phases, will cost more than Rs 350 crore.Rs 277 crore 31 lakh will be spent on the construction of the first phase. As the executing agency, Public Works Department has been given the responsibility of its construction. The college campus consists of Academic Block, Hospital Block, Residential Block, 430 capacity men’s hostel, 268 capacity women’s hostel, Auditorium, Along with guest house, community centre, STP, Kisan Bhawan, research and study centers of various disciplines related to veterinary science will be established.
The College of Veterinary Sciences campus will be developed on the concept of net zero. In this, along with treatment of animals, work of breed improvement will also be done. After its completion, veterinarians from all over the country will come here for training.This college has been designed on the vision of King Shalihotra of Shravasti. King Shalihotra enriched the field of livestock by composing Shalihotra Samhita in the third century.In Indian tradition, he is considered the father of veterinary science. UP CM Yogi, the access road for the College of Veterinary Sciences will be made of 04 lanes. For this, 450 meter 4 lane road from Gorakhpur-Varanasi Highway to the college will be constructed at a cost of Rs 3 crore 90 lakh. Public Works Department has been given the responsibility of construction of 04 lanes as the executing agency. During the inspection, MLA Shri Vipin Singh along with other public representatives and senior officials of the government and administration were present.
