UP CM YOGI Adityanath ji reviewed the progress of Har Ghar Nal Yojana in a high level meeting held at his official residence today and gave necessary guidelines. While giving instructions to conduct a third party audit of the works of the project of providing tap water to every house under the Jal Jeevan Mission, he said that nodal officers should be appointed for every project who should coordinate with the local public representatives and get all the work completed on time.

Restoration work of damaged roads should be done on time and necessary guidance should also be taken from public representatives. Only on this basis the accountability of departmental officers will be decided.
The Chief Minister said that the objective of Har Ghar Jal Project under Jal Jeevan Mission is to ensure that people get pure drinking water. All such schemes should continue without interruption. In the meeting, the Chief Minister received information about the works of Jal Jeevan Mission in the entire state including Bundelkhand and Vindhya region.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister was informed about community contribution under Jal Jeevan Mission that 40,951 schemes are approved under the mission. Their total work cost is Rs 152521.82 crore. In this, the central share is Rs 71714.68 crore and the state share is Rs 71714.68 crore. The community contribution towards the cost of in-village infrastructure works out to Rs 9092.42 crore.Due to most of the schemes being made solar based, the total cost has increased by Rs 13,344 crore, against which an additional Rs 6,338 crore will be received as central share., Apart from this, the state government will save about Rs 1 lakh crore in maintenance and operation items during the plan period.
CM YOGI ji was informed that 33,229 schemes in Uttar Pradesh are based on solar energy. About 900 MW of solar panels have been installed on them. This innovation has been marked as best practices by the Central Government. Due to the construction of solar energy based schemes, emissions of about 13 lakh metric tons of carbon dioxide will be reduced every year.On this occasion, Jal Shakti Minister Shri Swatantra Dev Singh, Minister of State for Jal Shakti Shri Ramkesh Nishad, Chief Secretary Shri Manoj Kumar Singh and senior officials were present.
