Uttar Pardesh government moves 11 IPS personnel, and a new commissioner is appointed in Lucknow

Officials announced on Saturday that the Uttar Pradesh government had transferred 11 Indian Police Service officers, including the commissioners of police for Prayagraj and Lucknow.

Amarendra Kumar Sengar, an IPS officer, has been appointed as Lucknow’s new police commissioner.

He took over for S B Shiradkar, who was appointed as the Lucknow Zone’s assistant director general of police (ADG). Sengar was ADG Lucknow Zone in the past.

Prem Chand Meena, ADG Bareilly Zone, has been promoted as ADG/MD Police Housing Corporation. Ramit Sharma, the Prayagraj Police Commissioner, will take his post.

Vinod Kumar Singh has been appointed ADG Cybercrime, while Prakash D, ADG/MD Police Housing Corporation, has been assigned ADG Railway.

Jai Narayan Singh, ADG Railway, has been assigned to PTC Sitapur.

L V Antony Dev Kumar, ADG Special Security, has been promoted as ADG, CBCID. In addition to his current position, ADG Security Raghuveer Lal has been assigned the additional duty of ADG Special Security Force.

ADG, CBCID K Satyanarayan was promoted to ADG, Traffic and Road Security, and ADG, Training was assigned to BD Palson, who had previously held the position of ADG, Traffic.
