UP NEWS : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in the 25th meeting of the Central Zonal Council held in Varanasi that in the last 11 years, India has made a new identity in every field. He described ‘Operation Sindoor’ as a symbol of the courage of the Indian Army and the new power of India. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, remarkable work has been done in the direction of service to the country, good governance and welfare of the poor. The appeal of ‘Team India’ by the Prime Minister to make India a developed nation by 2047 is an inspiring effort towards cooperative federalism, in which regional councils are actively working under the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The Chief Minister said that to realise the goal of self-reliant India, Uttar Pradesh is moving towards self-reliance by adopting a ‘bottom-up approach’ from the gramme panchayat level. Arrangements have been made to provide employment through the resources of panchayats in the state, which is benefiting thousands of panchayat sahayaks, BC sakhis, consulting engineers and other local people. He informed that the panchayats have earned crores of rupees in two years from schemes like waste management and Gobardhan.
He appreciated the provision of more than 330 services online through Village Secretariats and pointed out that this has not only increased transparency in service delivery but also created new sources of income at the village level.
In the field of public health, he informed that new food and drug testing labs are being set up in the state and the existing labs have been upgraded, which will increase the testing capacity manifold. He also informed about the implementation of multiple digital platforms for monitoring food safety, grievance redressal and strengthening citizen engagement.
Highlighting the achievements of the BC Sakhi Yojana towards economic empowerment of women, the Chief Minister said that so far more than Rs 36,600 crore worth of transactions and more than Rs 100 crore of dividends have been earned from this scheme.
In the field of law and order, he informed that the disposal rate of UP in POCSO cases is 98.80% and it is second in the country. Women beat system has been implemented in all the police stations for women safety, and the list of advocates of the Legal Services Authority is being displayed in the police stations to provide assistance to the aggrieved women.
Talking about Poshan Abhiyaan, he said that nutrition is being provided to crores of women and children through Anganwadi centres. Malnutrition data has improved in national surveys, which is a testimony to the effective implementation of schemes.
He informed about the launch of ‘Mukhyamantri Bal Ashray Yojana’, which is running in 10 districts of the state and is meant to provide protection to orphaned / adopted children.
In the field of education, he mentioned initiatives like ‘School Chalo Abhiyaan’, ‘Sharda App’, ‘Operation Kayakalp’ and ‘Project Alankar’, pointing out that there has been a significant decline in dropout rates and learning levels are continuously improving. The process of university construction is going on at a rapid pace in many mandals.
In the field of cooperatives, he said that the cooperative movement is attaining new heights. Through M-PAX committees, farmers are getting facilities like loans, fertilisers, seeds, training and storage. UP is leading the country in this field.
The state has also made remarkable progress in the energy sector. The generation capacity has increased by about 9,000 MW since 2017. The work of smart metering is progressing rapidly, ensuring transparent and uninterrupted supply.
On urban planning, he said that 89 master plans and many revised plans have been approved keeping in view the future needs, giving a new direction to urban development and management.
