UP Outsourcing Employees Salary Hike: Yogi government increases salaries for 2 lakh outsourced workers, adding EPF, ESI benefits and better pay scales.
In a significant move, the Uttar Pradesh government under CM Yogi Adityanath has announced a major UP Outsourcing Employees Salary Hike, benefiting nearly 2 lakh outsourced employees across the state. The salary for positions such as peons and security guards will now increase from ₹10,000 to ₹18,000 per month, while translators, computer assistants, and data entry operators will receive ₹23,000 instead of ₹14,000. The new pay structure will be effective from April 2025.
Social Security Benefits Introduced
Along with the UP Outsourcing Employees Salary Hike, the government has also introduced social security benefits for outsourced employees. Now, employees will receive 13% contribution under EPF (Employees’ Provident Fund) and 3.25% under ESI (Employee State Insurance). Minimum Salary Guidelines for Key Positions
The UP Outsourcing Employees Salary Hike also sets minimum salary rates for various positions. Teaching staff under outsourced contracts will receive up to ₹25,000 per month, while doctors will earn up to ₹40,000 per month. This ensures better financial security and motivates employees to perform efficiently.
Formation of UPCOS for Transparent Recruitment
To further streamline recruitment, the government has established the Uttar Pradesh Outsourcing Service Corporation (UPCOS). With UPCOS, all future outsourcing recruitment will be conducted transparently, ensuring timely payment and proper adherence to pay scales. This reform addresses the issues of exploitation by multiple contracting agencies and ensures fairness in hiring.
The UP Outsourcing Employees Salary Hike comes along with full reservation benefits for outsourced positions: SC – 21%, ST – 2%, OBC – 27%, and EWS – 10%. The move not only protects employee rights but also promotes organized employment creation in the state.
Pay Increase for Shiksha Mitras and Part-Time Instructors
As part of previous initiatives, the government had increased the salaries for Shiksha Mitras to ₹18,000 per month and part-time instructors to ₹17,000 per month, effective April 1. Currently, there are 1,43,450 Shiksha Mitras and 24,781 part-time instructors in Uttar Pradesh, previously earning ₹10,000 and ₹9,000 per month respectively.
Conclusion: The UP Outsourcing Employees Salary Hike demonstrates the Yogi government’s commitment to improving financial security, social protection, and fair employment for outsourced workers across Uttar Pradesh, marking a significant step in labor welfare and state governance.
