New Delhi: Actress Urvashi Rautela has finally reacted to the ongoing Dabidi Dibidi controversy surrounding her film Daaku Maharaaj and her co-star Nandamuri Balakrishna. The actress recently shared her experience of working with Balakrishna and addressed the online criticism linked to the viral song Dabidi Dibidi.
Speaking during an interview with Radio Nasha, Urvashi Rautela said that the Dabidi Dibidi controversy gradually gained momentum on social media, with one discussion leading to another. The actress explained that the online chatter eventually became much bigger than expected and drew attention to both the film and Balakrishna’s public image.

The song Dabidi Dibidi from Daaku Maharaaj became a major talking point online after several users criticised its choreography and pointed out the noticeable age gap between Balakrishna and Urvashi Rautela. Despite the backlash, the song remained part of the film’s final version.
Talking about her experience on set, Urvashi dismissed the negativity surrounding the Dabidi Dibidi controversy and instead praised Balakrishna for his personality and professionalism. She described working with the veteran actor as “really amazing” and said the action scenes in the film were among the best parts of the project.

The actress further revealed that Balakrishna is very different in real life from the intense image often seen in viral videos circulating online. According to her, he is fun-loving, energetic and extremely easy to interact with. Urvashi even called him “very childlike” and “super energetic,” adding that people often misunderstand his personality.
During the conversation, Urvashi Rautela also shared a personal memory involving Balakrishna. She revealed that he was the first person to wish her on Valentine’s Day last year. Referring once again to the Dabidi Dibidi controversy, she said that while some people may initially feel intimidated by the actor on film sets, he is actually warm, grounded and caring once someone gets to know him personally.
She also highlighted Balakrishna’s love for children and said he is not always as serious as people assume him to be based on social media clips.
