This will bring a big change in the lives of farmers in the future.

CM Yogi Adityanath said that the population of Uttar Pradesh is about 25 crore, and the main reason for this is that a suitable environment and land is already available for such a large population in this state. By the grace of nature and God, the most fertile land and the best water resources of the world are present here. There is huge potential in the state. About 45 percent of the land in India is arable, while about 75 percent of the land in Uttar Pradesh is arable, making it one of the most useful and fertile lands. As a result, the state ranks first in the country in the production of wheat, milk, sugarcane, potato, mango, guava, pea, mushroom, watermelon and honey.

CM Yogi Adityanath further said that the state contributes 15 per cent to the country’s total vegetable production and 11 per cent to the fruit production. Uttar Pradesh is home to 16-17 per cent of the country’s population but produces more than 23 per cent of the country’s foodgrain output. Uttar Pradesh is also known as the food basket of the country. The state ranks third in total food grain exports from the country. There are many opportunities for agricultural exports in the state. The launch of UP-Agriz will prove to be an important step in boosting these prospects. This is a good beginning for the farmers of the state and all those working in the agriculture sector.

CM Yogi Adityanath said that UP-Agriz is a Rs 4,000 crore project, out of which a loan of Rs 2,737 crore will be provided by the World Bank and Rs 1,166 crore will be contributed by the state government. The main objective of this project is to identify the problems in agriculture and its related areas, to qualitatively increase the productivity of major crops, and to develop post-harvest management and market support systems of specific agricultural products of the state, so as to increase the income of farmers. This project is the beginning of a new campaign for the development of agriculture supporting infrastructure and employment generation at the local level.

CM Yogi Adityanath said that the foundation stone of a greenfield project worth Rs 1,300 crore has been laid by Canpac India Private Limited in the manufacturing and logistics cluster of UPEDA in Unnao, which has FDI of Rs 100 crore. The project is under the FDI Policy-2023 of Uttar Pradesh and is important from the point of view of employment generation. Through this, the demand of the state and the country will be met. An investment of Rs 4,000 crore has been announced by Aquabridge in this project, and the Global Lead Data Digital Agricultural World Bank has stepped up its programmes.
