According to the state government, Siddharthnagar recorded a total of 799 cases related to women up until April 30 this year. Out of these, the final report was submitted in 798 cases, resulting in an impressive disposal rate of 99.87 percent and earning the top position in the state.
LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh has surpassed every other state in the nation, taking the top spot in the resolution of cases involving women.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was recently informed by representatives of the Women and Child Protection Organization during a high-level meeting that the state had attained a 98.70% conviction rate for crimes against women. This accomplishment relates to the resolution of Form 376 IPC and POCSO Act First Information Reports submitted by April 30 of this year.
With 1,784 recorded cases—of which 1,777 had final reports submitted—Hardoi district came in second, with a 99.61 percent disposal rate. With 731 cases recorded, 728 of which had final reports filed, the Etawah district came in third place with a 99.59 percent case disposal rate.
With a 77.60 percent completion record for investigations completed within two months of submitting a formal complaint under section 376 of the IPC and the POCSO Act, Uttar Pradesh is distinguished as the highest-ranking state in the country, according to the state administration.
Furthermore, after two months of submitting First Information Reports, the state ranks second in the nation with only 0.10 percent of investigations still pending.
The home department’s staff have been instructed by the chief minister to move forward with ongoing investigations. He emphasized that presenting a positive image will immediately increase investment and move the state closer to realizing the objective of a trillion-dollar economy as soon as possible.
Along with instructing authorities to concentrate on districts that were falling short in these areas, the CM also emphasized that by taking this strategy, crimes against women would decrease and public confidence in the police would rise. Once a month, the district level should assess cases filed under the POCSO Act, he continued.
