In a significant development for the youth of Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami handed over appointment letters to 1,456 newly selected candidates at a special event held at Doon Medical College. The appointments include 109 Review Officers and Assistant Review Officers selected via the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC), and 1,347 Assistant Teachers (LT) chosen through the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC).
Addressing the gathering, CM Dhami congratulated the newly appointed candidates, stating that this moment marks not only a milestone in their personal careers but also plays a crucial role in laying the foundation for the state’s brighter future.
Commitment to Merit and Transparency
CM Dhami highlighted that the state government has provided over 26,000 government jobs in the last four years, a figure that doubles the total government job appointments made during previous administrations since the state’s formation.
He emphasized the importance of merit-based and transparent recruitment processes, asserting that Uttarakhand’s youth now have access to fair and equal opportunities in government employment.
Referring to a recent cheating incident at a Haridwar exam center, CM Dhami assured swift government action. “The accused was arrested immediately, and an SIT was formed to investigate the matter. Listening to the concerns of the youth, we recommended a CBI probe and took the bold step of canceling the examination to protect the interests of honest candidates,” he said.
Call for Dedication and Ethical Service
CM Dhami urged the newly appointed officials to perform their duties with full integrity, transparency, and dedication. He encouraged them to set new benchmarks of excellence in their respective fields, saying, “Your work will shape the future of Uttarakhand. Serve the state with sincerity.”
Education Sector Recruitment to Continue
Speaking at the event, Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that recruitment in the education department will continue. He announced upcoming appointments for BRPs (Block Resource Persons), CRPs (Cluster Resource Persons), basic education teachers, and Group D staff.
Dr. Rawat added that the current batch of appointed teachers will serve in remote and challenging locations, stating that it is mandatory for all new recruits to serve in hard-to-reach areas for a few years, as part of the government’s strategy to improve education delivery in underserved regions.
