Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami approves ₹196 crore for key development projects including power transmission, flood protection, education, and infrastructure upgrades across the state.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved a significant financial allocation of ₹196 crore for various key development projects across Uttarakhand, aimed at enhancing infrastructure, education, flood protection, and public utilities in the state.
In a recent announcement,Pushkar Singh Dhami sanctioned ₹105.09 crore to the Uttarakhand Power Transmission Corporation Limited (PITKUL) under the annual state government plan for the fiscal year 2025-26. This funding is part of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) assisted external aid program and will support ongoing and upcoming power transmission projects, including upgrades in the region’s electrical infrastructure.
Additionally, the government approved ₹11.997 crore for the civil, electromechanical, and electrical transmission line works related to the Sapteshwar Small Hydro Power Project (300 KW) under the Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (UREDA). This initiative will boost renewable energy generation and contribute to the state’s green energy goals.
Education has also received a major boost, with ₹52.84 crore sanctioned for the distribution of free notebooks to all students enrolled in government and government-aided primary and secondary schools under the “Game Changer” scheme for the academic year 2025-26. This initiative is set to improve educational resources and enhance learning outcomes for thousands of students statewide.

₹19.69 crore approved for the revised estimates of the Mussoorie Pumping Drinking Water Scheme, ensuring enhanced water supply facilities.

₹3.18 crore allocated for flood protection works along the Bhilangna River in Ghansali town, Tehri Garhwal district.

₹4.85 crore sanctioned for flood protection measures along the Sarayu River in Kapkot development block, Bageshwar district.

₹5 crore approved for relief and rehabilitation efforts following the recent severe floods in Uttarkashi district.
