Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken a firm stance on law and order in the state, directing authorities to strengthen policing, increase surveillance in sensitive areas, and ensure the safety of citizens.
During a high-level review meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence, CM Dhami emphasized that there would be no compromise on maintaining law and order. He instructed the Director General of Police (DGP) to register cases against all types of crimes immediately and ensure strict and effective action against offenders.
Strict Measures Against Habitual and Organized Criminals
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted the need for special vigilance over habitual and organized criminals. He stressed that such individuals should be identified and dealt with under legal provisions to instill fear of law in society and make citizens feel secure.

Zero Tolerance for Disruptions in Public Peace
The Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami ordered the police to operate with full alertness, accountability, and efficiency. He directed that police stations and outposts should improve operational mechanisms and increase patrolling in sensitive areas. Special campaigns were also instructed to streamline traffic and security in urban areas.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami made it clear that no criminal would be spared. He warned that anyone taking the law into their own hands, anti-social elements, or those attempting to disturb public peace would face the strictest action.
Mission Crime-Free Uttarakhand
The Chief Minister emphasized that tangible results should be visible and that citizens should feel genuinely safe. He reiterated the government’s commitment to a “Crime-Free Uttarakhand,” prioritizing peace, security, and good governance. Ensuring the safety of ordinary citizens is the administration’s foremost responsibility, and any negligence at any level will not be tolerated.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami further instructed officials to regularly review law and order situations and maintain accountability at every level to strengthen the rule of law in the state.
