The actor made it clear that the responsibility for high expenses should not rest solely on actors’ shoulders. “Producers also need to act like family,” he said during the event, pointing out that filmmaking is a shared effort, not a blame game.
Dharma Productions as an Example
Varun Dhawan praised Dharma Productions, the studio behind Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, for always prioritizing their actors. “When I work with Dharma, I feel like it’s my own film because they take such good care of us,” he said.
Opening up about his own practices, Varun revealed that his entourage is limited to just four members. He shared that his father, filmmaker David Dhawan, set a rule early on: no managers should be present on set. “It keeps the focus on the film and ensures we don’t burden the producers unnecessarily,” he explained.
