Ajmer Speaker Vasudev Devanani reviews city development plans; sports stadium tender released, DPR for convention center initiated to boost infrastructure.

The pace of development in Ajmer city has accelerated as Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devanani conducted consecutive monitoring meetings to review key urban projects. During the meetings, approvals were granted to expedite several ongoing plans involving the Ajmer Development Authority (ADA), Municipal Corporation, and other departments.

Key Infrastructure Projects Moving Forward

A high-level discussion at the Ajmer Circuit House included district collector Lok Bandhu, ADA Commissioner Nitya K., and Municipal Commissioner Deshal Dan. Speaker Devanani emphasized that projects should be fast-tracked to ensure visible progress on the ground. Among the key decisions:

• Launching the Makadwali Fruit and Vegetable Market at a high-priority level to benefit local vendors and residents.

• Issuance of the sports stadium construction tender by ADA.

• Initiation of procedures for preparing the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the convention center.

Focus on Urban Development and Beautification

Speaker Devanani also instructed the administration to deepen Anasagar and Varun Sagar water bodies by sending excavation proposals to the irrigation department. The beautification and renovation of Varun Sagar and Chaurasiyawas pond, widening of Shastri Nagar road, and drainage improvement DPRs were also discussed to enhance city infrastructure.

Sports and Convention Infrastructure

Following directions in a prior review meeting, ADA has released the tender for the construction of the sports stadium, marking a significant step toward strengthening sports infrastructure in Ajmer. Simultaneously, the process to prepare the DPR for the convention center has commenced, ensuring that urban development and modern infrastructure projects move forward swiftly.
