Vodafone Idea (Vi) has officially announced a massive acceleration of its next-generation network, aiming to bring high-speed connectivity to millions more users. The telco plans to expand its 5G footprint to 90 cities by June 2026, marking a pivotal moment in its competitive strategy against market rivals.
Massive Footprint Growth: The Vi 5G Rollout is set to increase the carrier’s presence from 43 cities to a total of 133 cities nationwide within the next two months.

Advanced AI Integration: To ensure network efficiency, Vi is deploying AI-powered Self-Optimizing Networks (SON) in partnership with global tech giants to bolster its 5G coverage in 90 cities.
Regional Focus Areas: New coverage will include cities like Varanasi, Prayagraj, Ludhiana, Coimbatore, and Bhopal, significantly deepening the network’s reach across North, South, East, and West India.
