The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) has filed a case against Gurpreet Singh, an Executive Engineer (XEN) serving as the Municipal Town Planner (MTP) of Bathinda Municipal Corporation, for allegedly accumulating assets beyond his known sources of income.
A Bureau spokesperson emphasized the agency’s commitment to combating corruption and ensuring transparency in government services. The investigation uncovered that the officer had amassed significant wealth through illicit means while in office.
