Imran Khan is about to return to Bollywood after over ten years away. According to reports, the actor will appear in the comedy film “Happy Patel,” which is supported by the production company of his uncle Aamir Khan.
Imran Khan’s comeback film
Filming for the movie has reportedly already begun in Goa, according to a report in Peeping Moon. Last year, Imran had made vague hints of maybe going back into the movie business.
After teasing a potential comeback to the big screen last year, Imran has now committed to his comeback project, over eight months later. Aamir Khan Productions’ offbeat comedy, Happy Patel, will have him as the lead. The film is a hilarious comedy that takes place in a setting that is both familiar and very different from Imran’s earlier works. In Goa, filming has already started, according to a source cited by Peeping Moon.

Why Imran Khan took a break from films
Imran Khan had shared the reasons behind his extended hiatus from acting.
2016 was a horrible point for me, when I felt completely broken. Thank goodness, I was compensated monetarily by my industry, so by the time I turned 30, money was not a concern. It wasn’t my career at that point because I wasn’t motivated to put in the necessary effort to pursue it. Having just become a father, I thought, ‘This is useful. I consider this to be quite serious. For Imara, I wanted to be the best version of myself. I made the decision that being an actor was no longer my job. For my baby, I had to take care of myself and be at my fittest and healthiest right now,” he had told Vogue India.
Imran Khan has worked in films like ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na,’ ‘Delhi Belly,’ ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ and ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu.’ His last on-screen appearance was in ‘Katti Batti’ opposite Kangana Ranaut in 2015.
