What’s inside the IPL trophy? For Virat Kohli, who finally got to lift it after 18 long years, the curiosity was understandable. After losing three previous finals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally struck gold on their fourth attempt, beating Punjab Kings by six runs on Tuesday to claim their first-ever IPL title.
In a now-viral video on social media, Kohli, joined by Phil Salt and another RCB teammate, was seen holding the trophy after the presentation ceremony. Amid the celebrations, Kohli amusingly lifted the lid of the trophy to sneak a look at what’s actually inside.
Following their historic IPL triumph, Virat Kohli and the entire Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) squad departed from Ahmedabad and are en route to Bengaluru. They are scheduled to land at HAL Airport at 1:30 PM IST on Wednesday. From there, they will meet the Chief Minister of Karnataka at Vidhana Soudha between 4:00 and 5:00 PM.
After the CM visit, the team will head to the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in a grand open-top bus parade, which will begin after 5 PM. The official victory celebration at the stadium will kick off at 6 PM.
