“We were in a relationship for two years,” Muzammil confirmed, explaining that their romance began when Deepika had just moved to Mumbai. “She was the first to make a move,” he added, noting that she was already a confident and determined young woman, carrying the legacy of being Prakash Padukone’s daughter.

Reflecting on their youthful days, Muzammil described their relationship as “innocent and sweet.” He reminisced about simple yet meaningful moments, such as going on rickshaw dates in the rain. “We were kids then. We didn’t have much money, but we were happy,” he said. He also recalled a particularly heartwarming memory of organizing a surprise for Deepika’s birthday, where a DJ played her favorite song on repeat for over an hour—without charging him—because of their friendship.

“She was genuinely happy when I bought my first car,” Muzammil shared, highlighting how they supported each other during their struggling years in Mumbai. Despite eventually parting ways—Muzammil ended the relationship—the two reportedly remained on good terms for a while. “Before she got married [to Ranveer Singh in 2019], we would sometimes talk and congratulate each other on our achievements,” he said, though he confirmed they are no longer in touch.
