The 26th World Chief Justices Conference held in Lucknow saw CM Yogi Adityanath emphasize that justice must be the foundation of citizen security, global peace and a progressive future, addressing issues like education, climate change, cybercrime and terrorism.
The 26th International Conference of World Chief Justices was held in the Uttar Pradesh capital on Friday, bringing together eminent legal minds from across the globe. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the event, which began with captivating cultural performances by children.
During his address, CM Yogi emphasized that India has always embraced the philosophy of treating the world as one family. He stated that the biggest challenge before humanity is the breakdown of dialogue between nations. Such conferences, he said, play a crucial role in restoring meaningful global conversations. Referring to the United Nations’ 16 global goals, he highlighted that education remains one of the most vital pillars for development.
Need to Reduce Burden on Children and Strengthen Education
The Chief Minister stressed that children must not be forced to shoulder the burden of heavy schoolbags. In a world marked by unrest, chaos and increasing power struggles among nations, discussions on education, health and development often lose relevance. He urged global leaders to collectively rethink the systems required to ensure sustainable progress, and said that everyone must contribute to this effort.

Global Challenges: Climate Change, Cybercrime and Data Theft
CM Yogi also drew attention to rising global challenges such as climate change, cybercrime, and data theft, calling them serious threats to humanity. He asserted that justice, ethics, and international law can play a significant role in establishing lasting peace and safeguarding human civilization.
Call for Stronger Voice Against Global Terrorism
Referring to the United Nations’ message from 80 years ago, he said the world still needs a more just, inclusive and responsible global system. He urged nations to utilize platforms like the UN more assertively to address global terrorism, health challenges and rising cyber threats. He added that India’s ancient tradition of worshipping the five elements—earth, water, fire, air and space—offers valuable guidance on environmental protection and global harmony.
Justice Must Provide Solutions for Humanity
Concluding his address, CM Yogi said that when legal experts from around the world gather under one roof, the focus must be on how justice can offer solutions to global human challenges. He emphasized that justice should not only promote equality but also ensure safety, self-reliance and a brighter future for every citizen.
The conference highlighted the crucial role of the judiciary in shaping a peaceful, secure and progressive global society.
