The Prime Minister emphasized the significance of the number 18 in Indian traditions, pointing out that it represents karma, duty, and compassion in the Gita’s 18 chapters, that there are 18 Puranas and Uppuranas, that the root number of 18 is 9, which represents perfection, and that the legal voting age in India is 18 years old. India’s Amrit Kaal is the 18th Lok Sabha. According to Shri Modi, “the formation of this Lok Sabha is also an auspicious sign.”<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister noted that tomorrow, June 25, marks the 50th anniversary of the emergency decree and claimed that it is a stain on Indian democracy. According to Shri Modi, the younger generation in India would never forget the day that democracy was suppressed and the nation was transformed into a jail, entirely rejecting the Indian Constitution. In order to ensure that such an incident never happens again, Prime Minister Modi urged the populace to adopt a resolution to preserve India’s democracy and democratic traditions. “We will take the resolution of a vibrant democracy and fulfill the dreams of the common people in accordance with the Constitution of India,” declared the prime minister.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister emphasized that with the election of a third term of government by the people, the government now has three times more responsibility.
