Yogi Adityanath urges youth to lead AI innovation as Uttar Pradesh emerges as a major hub for AI, robotics, drones and data centres. The CM highlights the state’s improved law and order, massive investment surge and UP’s growing role in national defence.
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday emphasised that Artificial Intelligence (AI) must remain under human control and should be guided by India’s youth, not the other way around. Speaking at the convocation ceremony of Babu Banarasi Das University in Lucknow, he urged educational institutions to transform their academic approach by integrating emerging technologies such as AI, robotics, drone systems and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Yogi Adityanath said that Uttar Pradesh has rapidly emerged as a major hub for AI, data centres, drones and robotics, and called upon universities to introduce short-term courses, certificate programmes and diploma modules that can align students with evolving technological demands. “AI has become essential in every sector, but it must always remain under human direction,” he said.

He stressed the importance of equipping youth with a strong combination of technical skills and moral values, describing them as the two key pillars for building a developed India (Viksit Bharat).
