CM Mohan Yadav has instructed that all Narmada Basin-related projects be accelerated to guarantee sufficient irrigation water supply across all regions. Chairing the 32nd Board of Directors meeting of Narmada Basin Projects Company Limited at Samatva Bhavan on Tuesday, he emphasized the need for effective arrangements to ensure water reaches the farthest agricultural lands.
CM Mohan Yadav also reviewed the company’s operations and future strategies to enhance regional development. The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister and Managing Director of Narmada Basin Projects Company Limited, Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, along with Director Mr. Hirdaram Chauhan and other board members.
During the session, Dr. Rajoura provided a comprehensive update on project progress, current status, and upcoming initiatives. He informed CM Mohan Yadav that the Narmada-Kshipra Link Multipurpose Project is nearing completion. Additionally, a land-worship ceremony (Bhoomi Pujan) is planned for an upcoming lift irrigation project in Khandwa district and another key project in Dhar district.
Officials discussed various project-related concerns and development plans, affirming that the Narmada Basin Projects Company Limited will implement faster and more effective measures this year to ensure timely completion of all proposed projects, further bolstering regional development and infrastructure.
