Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini emphasized that everyone should incorporate the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita into their lives, as it holds solutions to global challenges such as fear, stress, and anxiety. He highlighted that the sacred scripture provides wisdom and guidance for overcoming life’s obstacles.
Speaking at the inauguration of the three-day Divya Gita Satsang at Ladwa Hindu High School, organized with the support of Shri Krishna Kripa, the Chief Minister performed Aarti and honored Gita scholar Swami Gyananand Maharaj with a garland. In return, Swami Gyananand presented him with a memento. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced a grant of ₹21 lakh for the event.
He acknowledged the contributions of saints and spiritual leaders in guiding people toward the path of righteousness and commended Swami Gyananand for spreading the teachings of the Gita globally. Due to his efforts, Gita Jayanti, once a small celebration, has evolved into an international festival since 2016, with events organized in countries like Mauritius, London, Australia, Sri Lanka, and Canada. The Gita Gyan Sansthanam has played a significant role in preparing preachers to further propagate the Gita’s teachings.
CM Nayab Singh Saini stressed that the Bhagavad Gita provides timeless solutions to the challenges of the 21st century and fosters unity and harmony worldwide.
On the first day of the satsang, Swami Gyananand Maharaj narrated the origins of the Bhagavad Gita, emphasizing that its 700 verses offer guidance for overcoming life’s difficulties. He reminded attendees that the Gita was delivered by Lord Krishna on the sacred land of Kurukshetra 5,162 years ago during the Mahabharata, imparting the eternal message of karma.
Later, while addressing journalists, CM Nayab Singh Saini stated that during the assembly session, opposition members were given ample opportunity to present their views, and their concerns were addressed. However, when the government outlined its development initiatives, opposition members walked out of the House.
CM Nayab Singh Saini further announced that the state budget would be presented on March 17, promising that it would focus on the welfare of all sections of society, including the poor, farmers, women, and youth.
